About
Distributed or transmedia storytelling is a way of telling stories across multiple platforms that is individually distinct, yet related to a central story. Not to be confused with multimedia storytelling - which is associated with broadcast and advertising - it employs the use of social media to develop levels of narrative around a piece of work. Through a feedback process between the audience, as participants, and the lead creators, successful campaigns can help to deepen engagement, increase discussion and augment the collective understanding of the work.
As this is an open platform we encourage those who know a bit about the theme to create an account on the wiki and edit/add content. You can also mail caroline@metamute.org who will upload it for you.
